Rules That Change the Decision

  • News: FTMO evaluations have no news restriction. On a Standard FTMO Account some news trading is restricted, but the Swing account removes this. FundedNext allows news in both phases. On the funded account it counts only 40% of profit from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes of listed high-impact news, while losses count in full.
  • EAs: reviews report that FundedNext's Stellar 2-Step does not permit EAs on accounts of $50K and above. Check this before buying if you automate.
  • US traders: FundedNext says MetaQuotes services (MT4/MT5) are not available to clients in the US. US clients use other platforms, and a US IP is not allowed on MetaQuotes servers.

Who Can't Join

FundedNext's restricted list (2026-08-27) includes Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Myanmar, Belarus, North Korea and Syria, among others. FTMO says its services are not for countries where they would break local law. Check at sign-up.

Partner Alternatives

If you are in a country one of them blocks, or want a cheaper 2-Step, compare The5ers (its Summer Plan lists a $100K 2-Step at $149 while the offer lasts) or BrightFunded 2-Step Classic (10%/5%, 5%/10%, no consistency rule).

FTMO vs FundedNext: Your Questions Answered

Which is cheaper, FTMO or FundedNext?

At $100K they are close: FTMO lists €540 and FundedNext about $550. Regional prices and promotions change the result.
