Is Valetax Safe? Licences, Warnings and Entities — cover image

Valetax has one real licence, and it is offshore: Valetax International Limited is an FSC Mauritius investment dealer (licence GB21026312). The second company, Valetax Global Limited, is registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, which is a company registration, not a forex licence. The Securities Commission Malaysia and the Thai SEC both list Valetax on their investor alert lists. Whether it is "safe enough" depends on your country, which company onboards you, and how much offshore risk you accept.

The Valetax Companies

Company Licence / registration What it means for you
Valetax International Limited (Mauritius) FSC Mauritius, Investment Dealer (Full Service Dealer excluding Underwriting), GB21026312; company no. C180644 Licensed broker, offshore supervision
Valetax Global Limited (St. Vincent and the Grenadines) Registered company 23398 BC 2016 SVG's FSA does not license forex brokers; no dealing licence
Valetax Processing LTD (Cyprus) Payment agent, HE495274 Handles some payments only; not a CySEC broker licence

Valetax's footer says the site "operates as a group domain" and that the legal entity, terms and documents that apply to you depend on the company you are onboarded with. Check the entity name on your client agreement before you deposit.

Regulator Warnings

  • SC Malaysia: "Valetax" is on the Investor Alert List, with valetax.com, valetaxintl.com and its Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube accounts named, for "carrying on unlicensed capital market activities of dealing in securities".
  • Thai SEC: Valetax was added on 25 May 2026 for unlicensed securities and derivatives business and unlicensed digital asset business.
  • Restricted by Valetax itself: the US, Singapore, Mauritius, Afghanistan, Cuba, North Korea, Iran, Lesotho and Myanmar.

If you are in Malaysia or Thailand, you would be using a firm your own regulator warns about, and you would have no local complaint route.

What Protects Your Money

  • Segregation: Valetax says client funds are held in segregated accounts. The SVG terms describe client bank accounts held separately from the company's own funds.
  • Negative balance protection: listed on the account pages and in the SVG terms for retail clients.
  • Compensation fund: we found no investor compensation scheme or external dispute body in the documents we checked. Treat that as missing.

Terms That Can Cost You

  • Profit cancellation: under the FSC terms, arbitrage, abusive patterns, scalping with orders open less than 30 seconds, coordinated hedging and abuse of the no-negative-balance policy can void trades and profits.
  • Dormant account fee: under the SVG terms, an account with no deposit or trade for 3 months is dormant and pays $15 a month until the balance runs out.
  • Leverage changes: Valetax can change leverage and spreads without notice, and it cuts leverage automatically around rollover and major news.

How to Lower the Risk

  1. Check your country is not restricted or flagged.
  2. Open a demo and read the terms for your entity.
  3. Deposit a small amount and test a withdrawal before adding more.
  4. Avoid holding trades for under 30 seconds.
  5. Keep the account active, or withdraw before it goes dormant.

Is Valetax Safe? Licences, Warnings and Entities: Your Questions Answered

Is Valetax regulated?

Partly. Valetax International Limited is licensed by the FSC Mauritius. Valetax Global Limited is only registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, which does not license forex dealing.

Is Valetax a scam?

We found a real FSC Mauritius licence, so we do not call it a scam. Malaysia's SC and Thailand's SEC have warned about it, and its terms allow profit cancellation in some cases, so treat it as a higher-risk offshore broker.

Is Valetax safe for Malaysian traders?

No. The SC Malaysia lists Valetax on its Investor Alert List, so Malaysian residents should not open an account.

Does Valetax have negative balance protection?

Yes, for retail clients, according to its account pages and SVG terms. Abuse of that policy can lead to trades being voided.
