Valetax Leverage: 1:2000 Tiers and News Limits — cover image

Valetax offers leverage up to 1:2000 on Standard, ECN, Booster and PRO accounts, 1:1000 on Cent and 1:500 on Bonus. That maximum only applies to small balances: leverage steps down automatically as equity grows, is halved for new trades opened 2 hours around the daily rollover, and is capped at 1:200 for trades opened 15 minutes around rollover or from 10 minutes before to 5 minutes after major news.

Leverage Tiers by Account

Standard and Booster

Equity from $1 $1,000 $3,000 $5,000 $10,000 $30,000 $50,000 $100,000
Max leverage 1:2000 1:1500 1:1300 1:1000 1:700 1:500 1:300 1:100

ECN and PRO

Equity from $0 $500 $1,000 $3,000 $10,000 $50,000 $100,000
Max leverage 1:2000 1:1000 1:700 1:500 1:300 1:200 1:100

Cent: 1:1000 from $1, 1:700 from $500, 1:500 from $1,000, 1:200 from $3,000, 1:100 from $5,000. Bonus: the headline cap is 1:500, but the page's tier chart starts at 1:1000 (from $1), then 1:500 from $2,000, 1:300 from $10,000 and 1:100 from $20,000. Confirm the real cap in your Member Area.

How Tier Changes Work

  • When equity rises into a new band, leverage drops to that band within a few minutes.
  • If equity falls 10% below the band level, leverage moves back up.
  • A lower leverage means higher margin per position, which can trigger a margin call (60%) or stop out (30%) faster if you are fully loaded.

Rollover and News Limits

Situation Leverage on new trades
Opened within 2 hours before or after rollover 50% of the tier value
Opened within 15 minutes before or after rollover Capped at 1:200
Opened 10 minutes before to 5 minutes after major news Capped at 1:200
Opened at any other time Normal tier

Positions opened outside these windows keep their leverage.

A Worked Margin Example

You open 1 lot of EUR/USD at 1.1000 (notional $110,000) on a Standard account with $800 equity, so the 1:2000 tier applies. Margin is about $55. Open the same trade 10 minutes before a major release and the cap is 1:200, so margin is about $550, ten times more. If you were planning several positions, that difference decides whether you hit a margin call.

Should You Use 1:2000?

High leverage reduces margin; it does not reduce risk. A 50-pip move on 1 lot is about $500 whatever the leverage. Size by stop distance and the money you can lose, not by the margin the broker allows.
