JustMarkets supports both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 on every live account type: Standard Cent, Standard, Pro and Raw Spread. You choose the platform when you open a trading account. An MT4 account only works in MT4 and an MT5 account only works in MT5. Download either platform from justmarkets.com/download (Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and APK), or trade in the browser with the MetaTrader WebTerminal. The JustMarkets mobile app can place trades only for MT5 accounts.
MT4 or MT5: Which Should You Pick?
| Feature (as listed by JustMarkets) | MT4 | MT5 |
|---|---|---|
| Timeframes | 9 | 21 |
| Pending order types | 4 (Buy/Sell Limit, Buy/Sell Stop) | 6 (adds Buy/Sell Stop Limit) |
| Built-in indicators (WebTerminal) | 30 | 38 (desktop page lists 80+) |
| Market depth | Not available on WebTerminal | Available |
| Economic calendar in platform | Not available on WebTerminal | Available |
| Trade inside the JustMarkets app | No (opens the MT4 app) | Yes |
| Expert Advisors | MQL4 | MQL5 |
Pick MT4 if you already rely on MT4 Expert Advisors or indicators that have no MT5 version. Pick MT5 if you're starting fresh, want to trade from the JustMarkets app, or need the extra timeframes and order types. You can open both account types under one Personal Area.

Where to Download
- Desktop: the MT4 and MT5 platform pages offer separate Windows and Mac downloads.
- Mobile: use the download page's iOS and Android links, or the APK if you don't use Google Play.
- Browser: the WebTerminal page has separate launchers for MT5 Live, Live2, Demo and Demo2 servers and one for MT4.
Only download from the official JustMarkets domain or the official MetaQuotes app listings. Platform installers from file-sharing sites or chat groups can be tampered with.
MT4 and MT5 Downloads for PC, Mac and Web (Official)
JustMarkets' platform pages offer MetaTrader 4 for Windows and Mac and MetaTrader 5 for PC, plus a MetaTrader WebTerminal that runs either platform in a browser. The WebTerminal launches MT5 on Live, Live2, Demo or Demo2 servers. JustMarkets' comparison of the web versions:
| WebTerminal | MT4 | MT5 |
|---|---|---|
| Market depth | Not available | Available |
| Pending order types | Buy/sell limit, buy/sell stop | Adds buy stop limit, sell stop limit |
| Timeframes | 9 | 21 |
| Built-in indicators | 30 | 38 |
| Economic calendar | Not available | Available |
Use the desktop version for Expert Advisors and backtesting. Note that the JustMarkets app trades MT5 accounts only. See JustMarkets app.
Logging In: Account Number, Password, Server
When you register, JustMarkets automatically opens a trading account and emails you its login details. To connect:
- Open MT4 or MT5 and choose File → Login to Trade Account.
- Enter the trading account number. Your email address won't work here.
- Enter the trading password, which is separate from your Personal Area password.
- Pick the server shown next to that account in your Personal Area (for example Live or Live2 on MT5).
If you see "Invalid account", the server is usually the cause. A live account won't connect to a demo server, or to the wrong live server. See the JustMarkets login guide for Personal Area access and password resets.
What MetaTrader Can't Do
MetaTrader only handles trading. Deposits, withdrawals, verification, leverage changes and opening new accounts all happen in the Personal Area on the website or in the JustMarkets app. JustMarkets also offers TradingView-powered charts, but that is a charting tool, not a separate trading account type.
Before You Trade Live
On the global entities, every platform works with the same account terms: leverage up to 1:3000, margin call at 40% and stop-out at 20%. On a small balance, high leverage can close out positions within minutes. Test your setup on a demo account first. Demo accounts are available for all four account types, but JustMarkets notes that demo liquidity is simulated. Check account costs in the minimum deposit guide and the full JustMarkets review.
